What age can children receive 1-1 tutoring?

Children from 18 months to 9 years are welcome to join classes.

Where can I have 1-1 tutoring?

Parents can choose a location suitable to their family. Some parents choose a public library nearby, a cafe or @Home.

Will my child be able to focus for 2 hours?

This is understandable for parents to be concerned about. Each 2-hour session is packed with interactions, movement, fun, games, and lots of  support to ensure your child is fully engaged. I design learning activities that are suitable for the age and ability of your child .See a sample class here.

What will my child receive?

Your child will receive a take-home bag, colored pencils, textbook, dictionary, writing paper, glue stick, and a composition book.

Why are Mandarin classes for 2 hours?

Multiple research studies indicate that children need extended periods of language input to develop good listening and speaking skills. Therefore our sessions are for two hours divided into fun reading, writing, listening and speaking activities.

How do I get started?

Complete the Registration form here. After receiving your information, I will email you with confirmation of class days, times and locations. You may make payment online and classes will begin.

What textbook do you use?

Depending on the age of your child, a textbook may or may not be used. For children 4+ the Textbook – Chinese For Kids and Rosetta Stone Picture Dictionary will be used.
